5th out of 14 Student W2 boats with a time of 11:09
After an early start we rowed up and marshalled in the cold. This being our second outing in our newly rearranged crew, we had relatively low expectations for this race. However, as we went under the motorway bridge, we are not quite sure what happened, but we started to row at rate 30, in time, in a perfectly balanced boat. Spurred on by Enlli and Gripper, this continued for the whole race as we gained several lengths on the boat in front of us. Overall it had turned out to be a very decent race, and something to be proud of. Our only regret was that our lovely coach wasn’t there to see it, so let’s hope we can do a repeat performance for Fairbairns!
